What with the lack of snow in Tahoe, we decided to visit friends in the San Francisco Bay Area. We spent a beautiful CA bluebird day exploring the Presidio Tunnel Tops park and stopped for a quick bite at the marketplace in the SF Ferry Building.
View of Golden Gate Bridge from the Presidio Tunnel Top park.
Great natural kids play area in the park.
Looking out at the sailboats on the SF Bay, where Michele and I learned to sail. Who would have thought we would be living and cruising around the Mediterranean someday…
Palace of Fine Arts in the distance.
The park reminds me a bit of the High Line Park in NYC with all of the beautiful plants and views.
The crew, Linda, John, Michele and Sue, on our return walk from Fort Point.
First time in shorts since last fall in Montenegro.
Fort Point and Golden Gate Bridge, an nice walk from the park.
Hungry Great Heron going in for the kill.
Success, a fat little mole or vole or some other equally unlucky little fellow.
Hmm, how and i going to eat this fat little treat? He eventually flew off with his lunch before we could see him figure it out. It was a regular Wild Kingdom moment.
Parting shot of the unique gardens in the park
Cool mermaid sculpture on the SF waterfront by the Ferry Building.
Full sculpture, very creative and impressive. A nice end to a fun day.
